IQAC
At CRSCE, the Internal Quality Assurance cell (IQAC) was formulated for planning, guiding and monitoring Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality enhancement(QE) activities of the institute. It channelizes and systematizes the efforts and measures of the institution towards academic excellence by being a facilitative and participative organ of the institute. The IQAC is a driving force for ushering in quality by working out intervention strategies to remove deficiencies and enhance quality. The IQAC was established in the year 2009. IQAC helps the college to develop a system for conscious, catalytic and consistent improvement in the performance of the institute. IQAC channelizes the efforts and measures of an institution towards academic and professional excellence.

Goals of IQAC: (As highlighted in UGC guidelines)

  • To develop the quality system for conscious, consistent and catalytic programmed action to improve the academic and administrative performance of higher education institutions.
  • To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.
  • To give shape to the vision and mission of the institution in terms if activities and performance initiatives.
To attain these goals the activities undertaken by IQAC are as follows:
  • Developing quality parameters for the academic and administrative activities of the institute;

  • Facilitating learner-centric environment conducive for quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process;

  • Arrangement for feedback responses from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes;

  • Dissemination of information on the various quality parameters of the institute;

  • Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles;

  • Documentation of the various programmes/activities of the institution, leading to quality improvement;

  • Acting as a nodal agency of the institute for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices;

  • Development and maintenance of Institutional database through MIS for the purpose of maintaining /enhancing the institutional quality;

  • Development of Quality Culture in the institution;

  • Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) of the institute.

  • Interaction with the committees of the IQAC in the pre and post accreditation quality assessment, sustenance and enhancement endeavors.

  • Organization of faculty development programmes (FDPs).

  • Monitoring and regulating the activities of various cells, i.e., GRC, PC, SGCC, MC, EC, RC etc.

  • Evaluation of best practices undertaken at the college and their regular revision.

IQAC is capable to raise the institutional capabilities to higher level so that the institution makes a continuous improvement in quality. This may involve identifying various processes that develop capabilities and continuous reforms in the institution.

The IQAC is headed by a Chairperson, i.e. Chairman of the institute followed by a Coordinator i.e., the Principal. Five senior teachers and one senior administrative official are members of the committee. There are two external experts on quality management, from the managing committee or from local community.

The IQAC meets at least once in six months.
